Story: I Once Fell in Love With a Jackalope
Published in: Small Wonders [web]
Length: ~1K words
Brief synopsis:

How the story came to be: I wrote this during a flash fiction challenge, but not for the challenge. So I was being very flash fiction pilled at the time and I was taking a shower and the sentence “I once fell in love with a jackalope” came to me, so…that’s how it went! Which is why it’s structured the way it is. I kept coming back to that one sentence, and how it has that looking back upon the past stuff, so that’s how the voice has the specific “character” it does.
